This article dated 8/2/1922 recaps last night‟s Industrial League game between Kenwel and the S.M-H.T. team.
Phil and Bert Kennedy (both played in this game) introduced some innovative glove designs during the 1920’s. The brothers were partners of Ken-Wel Sporting Goods, a company started by their older brother Dr. Morris Kennedy of Gloversville.
Other teams in the league were Fownes, Surpass, the Morning- Herald, Levor and the Danforths.

In an Industrial league contest at Parkhurst field last night the Kenwel nine defeated the S.M.H.T. combination by a score of 6 to 3. Phil Kennedy, who pitched for the winners allowed five hits while Deischel, the opposing twirler allowed eight.
The feature of the game was a three base hit by A. Kennedy. Al Kennedy also featured in the sixth inning when with two out and three men on bases he stopped a hot one retiring the side.
