G.H.S WON FIRST GAME OF SEASON
Fort Plain High Team Trimmed to Tune of 15 to 1 in One-Sided Contest at J. & G. Park Saturday.

Gloversville High school baseball team won it’s first game of the season at J. & G. park Saturday, by defeating Fort Plain High, by the score of 15 to 1.  The game was one sided, G.H.S. have the best of the contest after the fourth inning.   Berry was the star for the Fort Plain aggregation.  Fear,  a new man on the G.H.S. line-up, struck out eight men in three innings.   Fear promises to become one of the G.H.S. mainstays on the pitching staff.  Kean’s three-bagger in the eighth brought  the fans to their feet.  Nicholas, Pelcher and Arnold also starred with the stick, each getting a two-bagger.  G.H.S. played very consistent ball for the first game of the season.

Greco umpired a very satisfactory game.  The next game for G.H.S. is to be played with the strong Fonda nine, Wednesday afternoon.  the game will be called at 4:15.
